We don't know much about Farmer Collier but that he is known to drink, wear a cowboy hat, and tell ghost stories. He also owns a convertible with a bad starter motor that he drives around the city limits after dark. He manages to rescue Paula from the monsters in this scene. He has no speaking lines but he is basically the only real hero in this movie aside from policeman Larry.
